I love this image. It is one of my first attempts with images taken with a digital camera and I am thrilled with the result.

Where is Santorini?

The beautiful archipelago of Santorini is part of the Cyclades group of Greek islands in the southern Aegean Sea. Once a single island, the caldera is all that remains after one of the largest volcanic eruptions the earth has ever witnessed, some 3500 years ago.

Santorini is now a fantastic holiday destination with majestic views from all around the sheer cliffs of the caldera and charming beach resorts dotted around the outside coastline of the island.
